Creston BC- 126B 11th Ave N. Creston, Vitality Acupuncture & Wellness Center
Do I need to talk during Massage?
This is your massage. I welcome you to relax into your body and focus in peace. If you would like to talk during your time, please know that everything is confidential in the space. However walls are thin and I would like to keep my fellow practitioners working in peace and a soft voice is welcome.
What should I expect?
Upon entering the massage space, let us have a detailed chat about what we will do during massage. We will discuss any issues or goals you may have with your body and how massage can help. I will leave the room and let you settle onto the table under warm sheets. During the massage please let me know if you would like to change the massage in any way; pressure, temperatures etc. After massage please drink water and relax into an epsom salt bath or an easy stretch. You may also leave with some movement suggestions. Soreness may or may not come up for you, and that is normal and will dissipate in a day or two.
Do you Direct Bill?
Yes! I can direct bill to most insurance companies like Blue Cross, Canada Life, SunLife, Green Shield, Manulife, Chambers of Commerce, Johnstone Group. This is dependant on the plan, and is not guaranteed. I am currently not able to direct bill to ICBC nor MSP.
What do I wear?
Massage is best achieved with minimal clothing on. Half of people wear underwear and half of them do not. It is up to you, what you will be more comfortable with is completely up to you. If you feel like you are not wanting to disrobe then we can work massage through the clothing without massage lotions.
Do you offer Gift Certificates?
Yes! I enjoy making up gift certificates through canva print. I will make it up upon payment and email the print to you. It will then be saved into the Janeapp.com system to be used.
Im feeling self-conscious about my body.
This is a safe and non-judgemental space. If there is an area of your body that you do not wish to have work on, please let me know. If you do have warts on any part of your body, it is helpful to cover them with a bandaid or a piece of sticky tape.
Why do I need to Disclose a Health History Form?
It is best if you can give an accurate picture of your health and injuries on your health history form. This enables your therapist to design the most appropriate and effective treatment for you and to be able to work around any discomfort that you may have.
